Installation · Step 2
Register and link the node
Registration connects the edge node you just installed to your account. When it is done, the node reports to the cloud dashboard and can be linked to the system it serves.
Activate the node
Each node has a unique licence tied to its memory card and encryption key. Activation is completed for you during onboarding.
- Keep the node powered on and connected to the internet.
- Send your device code, the name of the system it belongs to and what the node replaces, if anything, to the Manna team through the contact page.
- Wait for confirmation that the node is activated. The hotspot and the dashboard update to show the device code.
Do not disconnect power or internet until activation is confirmed. If the node is powered off during this window, the registration step has to be repeated.
Create your account
- Open app.mannamind.ai and create an account.
- Create the site or unit your node belongs to. Set the correct country and timezone; these affect data timestamps and scheduled activity.
Register the device
- In the dashboard, open the units view and choose to register a purchased device.
- Enter the device code exactly as the local dashboard showed it.
- Give the node a name your team will recognise, for example the room or installation it serves.
- Confirm registration. The node appears in the unit list.
Register the node to the correct site. Moving a node between sites later means removing and re-registering it with the Manna team.
Verify the link
- Open the node's entry in the cloud dashboard.
- Confirm the node shows as online. A first connection can take up to 15 minutes after a start or reboot.
- Connect to the local dashboard at 10.42.0.1 and check the connection status section: internet and cloud should both report as working.
- Wait for a fresh sensor reading to appear in the cloud dashboard before you continue.
If the cloud dashboard stays offline while the local dashboard reports working internet, the difference is usually a network or firewall configuration on site. Troubleshooting covers the checks in order.
Share access
Each person who needs access creates their own account. They generate an access token from their account and send it to you, and you add them from the users section of the dashboard. Sharing an account or a password is not needed.
